Shakti sthal The word which itself has meaning 'Place of Power and Strength' is the Memorial site of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the former first lady and only Prime Minister of India, the name of his memorial was named as Shakti Sthal because of her strong determination and positive attitude towards the betterment of country. Shakti Sthal is situated on Raja Ram Marg, Near Veer Bhumi New Delhi - 110001. It is very close to the Bank of Yamuna River.

History

It is an important location where one can remember all the circumstances that finally led to the unfortunate shootout of India's strongest administratOrs the legend Lady Miss. INDIRA GANDHI. The structure of the memorial is very impressive as it is sixteen feet high and has been made by using aprrox 60 tonnes of iron ore, which itself shows the strength and fortitude of Indira Gandhi's character.
